Last minute gig happening this Saturday 12th May at Cafe Kino, Bristol. I’m supporting another Bristol-based band, Furlined at their EP launch. They’re a four-piece band, including a cellist – pretty cool. Doors are open from 7:30 PM and I’m on after 8. Tickets are £5 on the door.

Looking forward to playing again, because it’s been a long while! Hope to see you there x

¡Gracias!

For some reason this cover of “Andar Conmigo” (Walk With Me) by Julieta Venegas has become quite popular on my SoundCloud recently. A lot of plays in Latin America (Mexico, Paraguay, Peru…) – I’m glad you like it and hope you keep enjoying it! Thanks for listening!

Obviously it’s been quite a while since my last live gig, which I’m quite sad about. Clearly you are too – there, there. But thankfully there are videos on the internet that can tide us over until the next time. Last year my multi-instrumentalist friend Raymundo “Nene” Fernandez invited me to play a little music at The Cuban in Bristol, and there are quite a few videos from that night – so take your pick! They’re a bunch of covers that I love singing and I hope you like them just as much as I do.

Please enjoy.

New acoustic cover I did with my brother, Ellis Aaron.

I played guitar and sang backing vocals.

Nueva versión acústica que hice con mi hermano, Ellis Aaron.

Toque la guitarra y canté la segunda voz.

Performing a little set at my brother Ellis Aaron’s gig at Bishops Tavern, Bristol on Saturday 9th December 2017

Free entry, so see you there, 8 PM

Laying low for the while. I recognize that I do that a lot.

I never stop writing though, so there’s more to come.

Hope you’re well, or trying to be. That’s what I’m doing.

If you care (if you don’t, what are you still doing here…), I do tweet quite a bit, so you know where to find me:

Look after yourself please, and I’ll see you soooon.

Fear is such a liar. Stop thinking about a future that hasn’t even come yet, and instead focus on good things – “seek peace and pursue it”.

This Sunday 7th May I’m performing at The Brewers Arms’ Open Mic Festival in Banwell! There will be lots of other musicians, both local and from the surrounding areas, taking part from 2pm onwards and it is FREE ENTRY.

I am one proud sister to the lady on the right. Last Sunday was her company E. Stellar PR‘s first event and it was a big success. Thank you to everyone who came out and supported, performed, helped organize, and all the bits in between. This particular snap is from the last song of the night, with the incredible band and harmonies which were positively on point… and I got to sing it with my sister.

Hashtag blessed.

You are a work in progress. Stop being so hard on yourself, okay?

I am aware it has been a while since my last video.

My explanation?

Note #1

Yesterday was my first show in London. Can’t believe it’s taken me so long to get down there. Actually, I can. I’ve taken time off, started back up several times. Things feel good now, like I’m in a good place.

When you’re at this early point in your career, where not many people know you, any time you put on a gig that you solely organize yourself, you’re not sure if or how many people will come, but pretty much every seat on the Battersea Barge was taken. Half were family and friends of us, the musicians. So much gratitude for that. (If you’re related to or friends with someone doing a similar thing, in whatever field, support them any way that you can – they need it more than you’d think.) And the other half of the audience were people I’d never met before… Really not bad for an out-of-towner. Thank you to every single one of you – I hope you enjoyed my music as much as I enjoyed playing it to you.

The Battersea Barge looked after us well, as did Phil, the sound engineer. I’m thankful Karin and I finally got to do a gig together after meeting in Bristol four years ago (that woman’s voice). Definitely want to come back.

This is not my most eloquent and smoothly-thought-out post, but if I did one of those, I’d use five times the words and you and I both don’t want to be here all day. I used to have a mailing list and there I’d expand a lot more. Maybe I’ll set that up again in the future. But for now is where it’s at.
